Operations and Program Coordinator


Resetting the Table is seeking an Operations and Program Coordinator to strengthen the core internal systems of the organization and anchor day-to-day operations. The position can be housed at either of Resetting the Table’s office locations: New York City or Berkeley, CA.

About Resetting the Table

Resetting the Table (RTT) is dedicated to building meaningful dialogue and deliberation across political divides, primarily surrounding Israel within the American Jewish community. Drawing from conflict resolution expertise, Resetting the Table’s approach breaks open communication about charged issues among diverse stakeholders, often entering the room skeptical, dismissive, and estranged. RTT has intensively trained dozens of facilitators and crafted hundreds of forums for more than 12,000 participants, many of them clergy, philanthropists, campus professionals, and other community leaders positioned to impact thousands more. RTT is launching a new program in Summer 2017 targeting red/blue divides in the U.S., initially targeting Wisconsin and other Rust Belt states.

Resetting the Table is a small organization poised to grow significantly in size and impact in coming years. The Coordinator will work closely with our nationally recognized senior staff to build a foundation for sustained growth.

About the Role

  • Office Management/Administration: manage office systems; help build and update database; serve as point person for office equipment and supplies; invoice partner organizations and track reimbursements; assist in IT issues.
  • Programs: document program outputs and outcomes; provide logistical support to programs, including space rentals, set-up, catering, and travel arrangements; answer basic inquiries or forward to appropriate staff member; design/prepare program handouts and publicity blurbs; distribute and compile evaluation forms.
  • Communications and Development: maintain website and write/coordinate copy for communication materials; send thank you letters; collect and organize photos, video, and media; manage social media content with oversight.
  • Human Resources: support HR matters, including ongoing record keeping.

About You

  • Passion about Resetting the Table’s mission
  • Strong capacity for systems thinking; ability to notice what could be done better and to design and implement systems to make internal operations run more smoothly
  • Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Strong PC skills including solid knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency with WordPress, Salesforce, and Photoshop preferred but not required
  • BA and commensurate experience of at least 2 years
  • Knowledge of American Jewish communities and Israel a plus

Time Commitment and Compensation

  • Full-time; part-time will be considered for the right candidate. May be required to work some evenings/weekends.
  • Salary is commensurate with experience.
